“Clock Off” - Brian Cox for Malibu Rum

Malibu Rum recently conducted a survey that found 79% of people are overworked or perhaps said differently are working overtime. The survey specifies that people routinely answer messages and check emails after regular working hours, something the brand is calling “disguised overtime.”

Check. Guilty. Hand raised. I’m seeing a lot of heads nod.

Well Malibu Rum wants to do something about it this coming summer and they’ve partnered with Brian Cox for a campaign called “Clock Off.” Since Brian Cox plays a legendary “over-timer” in the television series “Succession,” I guess he knows a thing or two on the subject.

The campaign website includes a daily countdown clock set to your individual end-of-day, a playlist for said end-of-day, along with of course some Malibu Rum cocktail recipes to enjoy while enjoying your time away from your “desk.”

Down right fun, right"?!? Based on a universal truth, especially over the summer when people do indeed want to run out of work before sunset and enjoy a little daylight warm weather, perhaps over a cocktail. The brand really conquered the use of a celebrity spokesperson to bring that universal truth to light with a lot of levity. Those skate moves!

The best part?!? The running clock on the website is brilliant … might be a bookmark! It is 5:00pm somewhere! And now you know when it’ll be YOUR 5:00pm!
