Super Bowl 2025 Advertising - Yes, Today is Monday #MusicMonday

By now you’ve either already watched a bunch of the 2025 Super Bowl commercials or read a few of the recaps, and perhaps have already decided which are your favs … so I’m going to approach my coverage of the spots differently this year than I have in the past.

Instead of offering my own overview and my own picks for what I thought were the best, I’m going to feature a commercial or two each day this week that motivated me the most, per my discussion this past Friday.

Today … well, we all know how tough “Monday” can be. We’ve just had a nice weekend of unplugging, spending time with family and friends, and now we are back at it at the daily to-do list. Back to “the grind” some might say. Yes, today is Monday.

This is particularly true on the Monday after the Super Bowl, which BTW is the biggest “sick day” of the year. Data also shows that the Monday after The Super Bowl is the most unproductive day of the year, where people spend much of the day talking about the game, what they did during the game, and yes many of us are also talking about the commercials. I know I am :)

Coors captured this sentiment perfectly with their spot during the big game …

And since I’m also honoring #MusicMonday, I have to point out that the spot features this classic song from The Mommas & The Papas from way back in the day.

Coors wasn’t the only brand to note that the day after The Super Bowl might be a tough one. Starbucks jumped in to offer a little help as well, because “a big Sunday calls for a Starbucks Monday!”
