PR Takes Flight
I've been working on this great initiative with The Council of PR Firms for the last several months ... a program that works to attract young talent to the industry. Like many others, our industry thrives on a constant influx of new thinking, new creativity, and new ways of approaching brands. We need new people all the time.
As a representative of the industry, The Council is launching a new suite of tools that member firms can use to recruit new talent, including a showcase video that portrays the dynamic nature of a career in public relations ... the "new public relations" if you will.
We launched it all this week, along with a blog post yesterday. If you'd like to read it, you can click here. In it you can also take a look at the video that we created, and you'll get to meet "Avery," our new "mascot" so to speak.
It's all just the beginning of a concerted effort to portray our industry appropriately, and to encourage new people to jump in. I'm all for that!
