Two Word Combos

There seems to be a whole new vernacular happening on the streets ...  words that I've never heard before yet sound so familiar.

Turns out we are in the midst of a storm of portmanteaus -- words that are a combination of two words.  I reported on one not too long ago, flawsome, meaning that our flaws are what makes us awesome!  Frenemy has been around for years ... a friend you not so secretly hate.  Or is that the other way around?

All I've been hearing about lately is the Cronut - the new food craze/treat that is half croissant and half donut.  Sounds .... heavy.

Or plessure - the pressure of a deadline with the pleasure of being able to make it.

A bunch of my friends are obsessed with the new SciFi show called Sharknado - all about a tornado that tosses sharks out of the sea and onto land.  Sorry, I can't make this stuff up.

We all know the bromance - two straight guys who become best friends, brothers in romance.

There are so many, it's hard to keep up.  And although this doesn't technically fit the category, I am obsessed with the term selfie.  When you hold your smart phone or camera out in front of you and take a picture of yourself.  Love it.

Know of any others?  What's your experience?  Jim.
