Coca-Cola Coffee Plus

Coca-Cola is planning to expand its successful test of a new product that combines its signature Coke beverage with coffee. Yes, coffee. Coca-Cola Coffee Plus.

It contains more caffeine than a Coke but less than a cup of coffee. With less sugar than a regular Coke. It’s aimed for that behavioral gap in energy that most experience in the middle of the afternoon.

It’s likely also not going to be contained to the Coca-Cola brand…with a similar beverage being planned to come out by the company’s recent coffee acquisition Costa in Europe.

Reaction to the concept has been a bit mixed with some saying that the two should never meet and others embracing the notion of a refreshing beverage.
