Show Them Love

Admittedly I am feeling a bit sentimental right now. But I have to be honest and say that when I saw this new video from P&G, I burst into tears. FINALLY someone is showing me not only a positive side of being home but also the positive effects of just being a parent in what is otherwise horrible times.

If you’ve read my book “Out and About Dad,” then you know that when my kids were young I turned negatives into positives as much as I could. I made it my job as a dad. And I think that’s why this video hits me so hard. It shows how the positive effects of just being there as a parent can have an impact on our kids.

Wow. Take a look …

“Show them love, and love is all they see.” I think that is the essence of parenting when times are tough. Wow.

And thank you P&G for showing us the full range of parenting. I’ll always appreciate the subtle or not so subtle nod to the gay dad!
