Kygo x Donna Summer #MusicMonday

When I started #MusicMonday several weeks ago, I started with Donna Summer and “MacArthur Park.” Little did I know that I would soon do another “new” Donna Summer song just a short time later.

The oh so popular DJ Kygo launched a remix of the oh so legendary “Hot Stuff” from Donna Summer. “Hot Stuff” was her biggest hit and also the first ever Best Female Rock Vocal at the Grammy Awards. Rock vocal from the Queen of Disco. Yup, that is “Hot Stuff.”

What I love about all of this is that Kygo is bringing Donna Summer to the next generation who can now learn about her musical catalog. Good timing … it’s the summer of 1979 during the worst summer of all time.

This isn’t the first Kygo redo of a big time diva. Just a bit ago he partnered with Tina Tuner for “What’s Love Got To Do With It.”

It’s awesome to see the icons being embraced by next gen. #MusicMonday.
