"He's Alive" - Big and Peloton
Spoiler Alert for the “Sex and the City” reboot … stop reading if you care about the plot but haven’t seen the first two episodes …
Ryan Reynolds for the score, and Peloton for the win.
This past weekend we saw real-time, agile, pop-culture marketing take place right before our eyes as Peloton released a “response” to the buzz about the character Big’s untimely death following a Peloton class in the “Sex and the City” reboot. His 1,000th class no less!
The shocking plot turn pushed fans and non-fans online, tying Peloton to the character’s heart attack. Peloton quickly released a statement (well done) but then went on to hire Ryan Reynolds ad agency to craft a video response (brilliantly done).
“He’s alive…”
Note the call-out of Peloton’s cardio-vascular health benefits. And then of course the final, “He’s Alive.”
Pretty smart. Super fast. Very pop culture!
