Santa Boot Camp from Old Navy

It’s about time. It’s about time that the traditional image of Santa evolves to be more representative of our culture. More inclusive. More relatable to our entire population.

Imagine all of our children finally seeing a Santa that represents them. Their family. Their circle of friends. Their life.

Well that’s what Old Navy put together with its Santa Boot Camp … a program designed to train Santas all over the US to be, well, Santa. And to have Santas represent the entire spectrum of our communities with Santas of all colors.

It’s an online course created in partnership with one of the largest Santa booking agencies in the country called School4Santas, and it puts an emphasis on having Santas of color. And of course spreading joy during the magic of the holidays.

We just have to make sure that there is full representation, that’s for sure!

Old Navy launched Santa Boot Camp as part of a comprehensive holiday program called “ALL-idays” that includes full inclusion in its holiday advertising as well as featuring a diverse set of influencers to talk about holiday traditions.

A step in the right direction. What’s your experience? JIM
