PRovoke Global Summit 2022
This week I was in Washington, DC for the annual PRovoke Global Summit. If you’re not familiar with the group, it’s communications trade organization founded by Paul Holmes that essentially covers news and thought leadership (and awards) in the communications industry. Their annual summit is very well done and filled with great content.
I say annual because like so many things the summit has been interrupted or gone virtual so this was the first time in a bit that I attended live. It was glorious. Glorious to see friends and colleagues in person and be able to discuss the content we just absorbed. Glorious.
I was there representing my agency Ketchum where we introduced for the first time our new offering called Trauma-Informed Consultancy. We live in a very difficult world that is filled with trauma on a daily, ongoing, sustaining way. As a result, the notion of trauma has taken on new meaning particularly when you’re part of a marginalized community or face discrimination and hate then it even more severely relentlessly.
So we are working to help our clients become more trauma-informed in their work and with their own employees. But we are starting with our own employees first, training them to be trauma-informed. It’s very rewarding work, as you can imagine.

Along with being able to meet our Ketchum colleagues based in our DC office, it was quite a inspiring week. Hope yours was too.
