P&G Features Olympic Champion Chloe Kim

Winter sports athlete Chloe Kim burst onto the scene at the 2018 Winter Olympics when she became the youngest US Olympic gold medalist ever. Her legacy continued this week when she once again won a gold medal for the women’s halfpipe at the 2022 Olympics. Well done. You can read a little bit about her historic wins by clicking here.

P&G, a long-time Olympic supporter, is recognizing the importance of Chloe’s journey and has featured her in an inspiring story. In true P&G fashion, while the feature is Chloe, the storyline is actually about someone who supported her along the way … her dad.

“Because you were always there, I am here.”

So moving and inspiring. I’ve always loved how P&G showcases the support systems behind the Olympic athletes. Many times that has been a mom as depicted in their epic “Thank You Mom” campaigns. As a marketer and as a parent, I’ve long praised the recognition and the support that the company has shown through the years. But as a father, I have to say that I am especially touched that P&G decided to feature Chloe’s dad in this historic story. Particularly inspiring for me personally.

Support systems come in many forms, that is true. Moms, dads, families, friends, and everything in between. I stand along side P&G in honoring all of them. And I’ll take all of them!
