Lolly Lolly Ceramics x The Daily Show
Because I tend to write a lot about big brands, folks ask me all the time if the observations we learn from the big brands can apply to small business. YES! And here’s a great example.
Lolly Lolly Ceramics is a small proprietor-owned business based in Milwaukee that makes mugs. Lalese Stamps, the founder, calls it a “small scale ceramics production and design studio” with a “small but mighty team.”
Well this small but mighty team teamed up with Trevor Noah and The Daily Show to produce three mugs over three weeks to celebrate International Women’s Day. Known for her innovative mug designs, Lalese went overtime on these very cool designs which will sit on Trevor’s desk at showtime. Talk about great exposure!
You can check them out here … and check out the founders story about the #100DayProject where you essentially try a new medium and make something new each day for 100 days. That’s how she built her portfolio of mugs she now sells.
Small business, yes. Small team, yes. Big idea, yes. Big impact, yes.
It’s amazing to see what entrepreneurs and small businesses can do. Partnering with a powerhouse entertainment brand that supports those entrepreneurs, supports women, and supports women of color adds to that impact.
