Microsoft in Ukraine
With the war and humanitarian crisis in Ukraine start, continue, and now not seeming to end, we’ve seen a lot of brands take a stand and take action whether it be suspending operations, refusing to trade, or putting relief efforts in place. These moves have generally come with lots of attention and commentary. The list grows each day, and hopefully the impact grows each day as well.
There’s one brand (and company) that was “on site” from the moment the war began and perhaps before day one of the invasion … Microsoft.
Microsoft’s Threat Intelligence Center (MTIC) was there right from the onset to detect and protect Ukraine government organizations, companies, business sectors, and individuals from cyberattacks. Microsoft is also screening and protecting again disinformation. You can read more about it from the President/ViceChair’s blog post by clicking here. It’s absolutely fascinating and inspiring.
It’s a wow.
Now certainly this is part of Microsoft’s business model and business offering, but the impact that this brand can have and is having is (to quote another mega-brand) priceless. Talk about a value proposition for its customers!
Thank you, Microsoft. What’s your experience? JIM
