Brands Celebrate International Women's Day
Yesterday was International Women’s Day. And while the hearts and minds of much of the world was also thinking about the crisis in Ukraine, many people were also celebrating the accomplishments, commitments, contributions, hopes, and fears of women around the world. Me included … my social feeds were filled with inspiration and aspirations for the future and the future growth of women. As a son, brother, father, and friend I felt very proud.
AND … including many brands who put women first yesterday in celebration. As a marketer, that made me proud too.
Here are a few highlights, as posted by AdAge (one of our industry go-to publications):
A collaborative group of non-profits created a fictional cereal box called “Loopholes” that features tampons and pads to promote the Menstrual Equality for All Act
UPS continued its “Proudly Unstoppable” campaign with three female artists who created limited-edition boxes that showcase women helping women
On social media, Celebrity Cruises replaced the “X” in its logo with a “XX” to celebrate the female chromosomes
Just a small sampling of the activity. If you have access to AdAge, you can review their overview by clicking here.
