Can real estate agents become magazine publishers? Evidently yes, especially when you’re one of the largest real estate networks in the US with massive headquarters in New York City (arguably the magazine publishing center of the universe).

So here is real estate agency Douglas Elliman with their home furnishings magazine “Elliman.” The magazine says it’s all about “how you live” and if you’ve ever flipped through the pages you’ll see it’s highly aspirational.

To my surprise the magazine has been around for 7 years. Wow!

This is a great example of a highly regarded brand that is a leader in its industry attempting to stretch out. Attempting to give its “consumers” real value-added content above and beyond its core products and services. Attempting to forge a deeper relationship beyond a simple (or not so simple) real estate transaction.

Bravo!
