It has been said that Mariah Carey is the “Queen of Christmas.” Not sure about that necessarily, but she does have the number one Christmas song of all time and year after year she’s been dominating the holiday season television special scene for sure.

So when I saw that she was doing a promo with Venmo for the holiday season, I just had to smile. For a limited time during the holiday season, when you sent a Venmo gift to someone you could choose a special holiday wrapping. Clever. Including one that featured Mariah Carey. Festive.

Kind of a smart tie-in promotion. Good pop-culture and tech exposure for her. Good way to show how Venmo can be a gift-giving option which many may not have processed before. Both “partners” win and you have the makings of a successful season.

I know that Holiday 2022 is over, but perhaps this sparks some creative ideas for the various holidays of 2023.
