"Home" #MusicMonday

Probably about ten years ago, I started traveling a lot for work. Perhaps not on a weekly basis, but certainly multiple times a month for days at a time. My kids were much older so I could leave for a few nights without having to worry about them. We were advancing as a family and I was advancing in my career and travel was a new requirement.

There was a song at the time called “Home” from Michael Buble. It so perfectly captured how I felt with so much travel … the excitement of work where my head was located, yes, but also the time away from home where my heart was located.

While I didn’t know much about Michael Buble, this song so captured my emotions of traveling for business. Later, Michael sang the song again with Blake Shelton … gorgeous!

Flash forward to holiday season 2023 and we have Cher covering “Home” with Michael himself as part of her “Christmas” album. Beautiful!

So good. Proof of the ongoing relevance of this wonderful song, for the holidays and all year long!
