A Stanley Cup Survives a Car Fire
This is certainly not the first time we’ve seen a brand respond quickly to a fan’s social post. This kind of agile social marketing has been around a bit, and as an industry we’ve gotten both better at it and better at making it an opportunity to not only engage but also communicate the essence of the brand.
Here’s a recent example from Stanley (as in the insulated drinking cups) … a woman posted a picture of her car that had caught on fire yet her Stanley cup stood confidently in the midst of it all, completely intact. With the ice still inside and not melted from the fire. Wow!
The brand’s reaction … they responded on the post that they will replace this fan’s car! Wow!
Just a fun inspiring example of how to be in the moment with your audience, respond to their engagement with you, and elevate the brand all at the same time.
Can you do that with your brand? What’s your experience? JIM
