Barbie "Women in Film" is the Career of the Year

Every year, brand Barbie launches a new doll for its “Career of the Year” initiative. And each year the “Career” is in an industry where women are under-represented which is absolutely fabulous. For 2024, in honor of the Barbie Movie, the brand released four dolls for “Women in Film.” Fitting given the topic, cast, and director of the movie. The new product line includes:

  • Studio Executive (love it)

  • Director (go, Greta!)

  • Movie Star (but of course)

  • Cinematographer (YES!)

It’s limited edition and while supplies last. I have a feeling supplies didn’t last very long! Essentially all sold via the Barbie site with early options for super fans and then a series of retail dot com partnerships. It’s moving fast.
