National Hispanic American Heritage Month #MusicMonday

National Hispanic American Heritage Month started today on September 15th and runs through October 15th, so I thought I’d celebrate our love for the music that comes from his culture for #MusicMonday, with three of my personal favs.

First up is from an album that for years held the title of being the largest selling non-English album in the US … it’s a 1987 creative-turn from Linda Ronstadt titled “Canciones de Mi Padre” and the song I’m featuring is “Por un Amor.” Linda is a Mexican-American (with German roots too) from Arizona.

And now soaring up to 2023 and soaring up the charts, breaking all sorts of records is Bad Bunny (from Puerto Rico) with one of his songs called “Where She Goes.”.

Then I’m going to revert back to 1994 to Tejano singer Selena from Texas with the song “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom.” Selena started a frenzied craze back in the day but then her life was cut short. Sad. But her music has so much life. So much life!

Celebrate. Honor. Be proud. All through the years and for many years to come!
