Super Size Ban

Yesterday, NYC mayor Mike Bloomberg announced an intent to ban super size soft drinks in New York ... a move consistent with similar non-smoking and artificial trans-fat bans from years past.

I get it.  The mayor is personally waging a battle on health, in this case obesity which leads to major health issues.  I get it.

I happen to be out in LA and it was a hot topic of conversation.  Most people I talked to thought it was a good idea ... reducing the temptation to make unhealthy choices.  I get it.

But is that the government's job?  If moderation is called for, is that the government's job to enforce it.  What's going to prevent someone from just ordering two sodas?  Or should we limit quantities to one per person per meal.  Where is the line drawn?

What's your experience?  Jim.
