2019 Emmy Awards - Outstanding Commercial

Who knew?

I don’t know how I ever missed this all these years, but it turns out that the Emmy Awards also includes an award for the best commercial. Who knew? Evidently it started in 1997, and the first winner was for HBO.

The winner from last year was from P&G for “The Talk,” which also won a buffet of industry awards including a Cannes Lion.

Like all of the rest of the prime time television nominations, the Emmy Awards just this week announced the nominees for the best commercial in 2019. Nominees include Nike, Apple (2), Netflix, and The Sandy Hook Promise. You can read about them and see them all in this article from AdWeek.

Who will win? We will have to wait until the awards show on Sept 14th!
