Google for Black History Month

February is Black History Month, and many a brand are out to acknowledge and celebrate it. One that has done it the best, IMHO, is Google with this incredible salute to those who have made history. Notice I said “history” and not just “black history.” I join the salute:

If I haven’t mentioned it before, I just love the Google campaigns. The team always nails it with culturally relevant stories that show the brand’s value. Like the stories of these pioneers, in any month.

I really noticed the power of this campaign as I was walking through Times Square in NYC last night as these images and copy were broadcast on one of the huge billboards. Thrilling and inspiring.

PS - I also loved Google’s Super Bowl spot this year. Nailed it with emotional storytelling to show how the brand fits in our lives. Well done.
