Lady Gaga at the Oscars #MusicMonday

I recently re-saw Lady Gaga’s performance at the Oscars a few years ago when she celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the motion picture “The Sound of Music.”

The performance was electrifying, right from the opening note. With that opening note she made a statement … “I know you may think this is a stretch for me, but I’m going to nail this.”

My jaw literally dropped when she came out. Lady Gaga singing a medley of classics from Julie Andrews … talk about genre switching! I doubt many, including some of her fans (like me), would think she could pull something like this off so authentically. Even as the amazing singer that she is.

I’m taking inspiration from this performance: go for it, even when it’s a stretch. Go big and then bring it home. Goooo foooor it!
