Coca-Cola Holiday Ad 2020
I suppose I’ll stop writing about holiday adverts once the holidays are over, but I have to say that they are giving me much joy this year more than ever. I also show and discuss a lot of these films in my NYU marketing class, and they are great fodder for discussing the difference between product selling and brand marketing.
This year’s holiday advert from Coca-Cola brings me great joy and is a perfect example of brand marketing versus product selling. In it, Coca-Cola shows us the power of fatherhood and the lengths we will go to be with our family for the holidays. Yet reminds of continually of the product it sells. And the “happiness” that it spreads.
Love the line …“Give something only you can give.” As a dad, I’m trying!
