Burberry - "Singing in the Rain" #MusicMonday

It was released well before my time, but I’ve always been intrigued by the song “Singing in the Rain” and the iconic scene with Gene Kelly from the movie of the same name.

It’s such a great song about optimism and thinking forward and overcoming obstacles. Like this year!

So I was delighted to see British brand Burberry come out with their own version of the song/video. Makes sense for them since their signature line is rain coats. And the brand is based in London where it rains a lot! And this has been one tough year for fashion and retail brands … so we need to sing and dance when it rains if we are going to get through it!

Love this line from the brand:

“It’s about that fearless spirit

and imagination when pushing boundaries.”

I think those ice balls falling from the sky are metaphors for 2020! Just kick them out of the way and destroy them!

A great song to start yet another week in a year like this!
