Oreo - "Life is Sweeter When We Come Together"

It’s now two days after the US 2020 Presidential Election and we still don’t have a winner, and we will not know much more for awhile. It’s unsettling, to say the least. The political divide is painful.

So I’ll take solace where ever I can find it, that’s for sure. And as a marketer, I believe that brands can play a big role in bringing us together and giving us a small bit of relief. Which is exactly what brand Oreo is doing with its latest video released just days before the election.

Some have said that it’s political, while I say it’s human.

It’s titled “The Fair,” with the message that “Life is Sweeter When We Come Together.” Timely for sure with a subtle reminder to not only try to come together but to enjoy the little things in life as well.

A small gesture, I know. I’ll take it.
