Oreo Brings Us More with OREOiD
Throughout the course of the year we’ve seen some brands go quiet and some brands come on strong. Brand Oreo falls in the latter camp. Oreo has likely been, to my eye, one of the most prolific brands this year. Just yesterday I wrote about the very cool (to me) collaboration with Lady Gaga (also pretty prolific this year). Oreo is also a brand that has come up with my students at NYU frequently, and in fact was the subject of one of the final group projects. Oreo seems to be everywhere.
The latest batch comes in the form of OREOiD … a website where you can customize your own Oreos. “Customize everything!” Coatings, dippings, uploaded pics, you name it. Or better said, you create it.
There’s also a store where you can buy apparel, mugs, and yes even an Oreo-scented candle ala the gravy-scented candle from KFC!
Yup … if you’re an Oreo fan then you’re going to be in Oreo heaven. And is there a better place, especially this year?
My students suggested that the brand open up a cafe … of course!
