When I read the headline of a recent marketing trade publication article, I just had to smile.
“Pepsi releases spa kits to ease consumer stress at home”
I smiled because health and wellness and mental wellbeing have become forefront this year during the pandemic and household lockdown. Stress has taken new forms. Mental wellbeing has taken new avenues.
AND just like every company is now a tech company (look at the auto and QSR industries), so too is every company a health and wellness company.
Witness Pepsi … a beverage brand within a food and beverage company. Now promoting its ability to “ease consumer stress at home” via a Pepsi Spa Kit. Consumers simply tweet #PepsiSpa and #Sweepstakes (and tag a friend) to get a chance to win a kit. A spa kit that reduces stress at home. From Pepsi. A health and wellness company, like so many others this year.
