For #MusicMonday this week we are going back to the sixties again … a time when the world needed a lot of healing. Sound familiar? We are going back to 1965 to be exact with singer Jackie DeShannon and song writers Hal David and Burt Bacharach with their masterpiece “What the World Needs Now is Love.” Sound familiar?

This song has had many covers and has been on many a movie soundtrack … and it’s been used during times of societal trouble. Sound familiar?

My personal favorite version is from Dionne Warwick from 1966 …

What does the world need right now? Love sweet love.
