Dad's Day Out 2021

I’m a member of two amazing organizations devoted to supporting modern-day dads … Dad 2.0 and City Dads Group. I got to know both groups when I launched my book about my own journey as a father with “Out and About Dad.” Both organizations were both so supportive and I found instant connections. I even wrote about City Dads Group in my book!

I am delighted to share that both organizations (who are basically brothers at this point) have created the first ever Dad’s Day Out where dads of all flavors all over the country will be gathering IRL to have some fun and share the experiences of being a dad. Amazing.

When my kids were young, there was NOTHING to support me in my experience. I was a divorced, single, gay dad at a time when no one talked about any of that. Active fathers were invisible if I am to tell the truth. There was no one to turn to as a role model or consultant or mentor or friend. But now there is! For all dads. Amazing.

If you are so inclined, I hope you join a group tomorrow. Or if you can’t join tomorrow, then join the groups at any point. You’ll be glad you did.
