Diesel "When Together"

I’m in a fashion mood this week, so I’m going to highlight fashion brands that are making me stand up and notice. Yesterday I featured brand Kith and their values that are centered around family and community with its “Kith and Kin” theme. Inspiring.

Last night in my NYU class, one of my students brought this new video from the fashion brand Diesel for us to discuss. It’s a pandemic reality capsule that features lovers who have been forced apart and then gloriously come together through the lockdown. It’s moving, it’s raw, it’s real. It’s also inspiring.

“I felt outside of myself.” Many of us have been there. But then those moments of seeing these folks come back together brought a tear. Many of us have been there too.

Great way for Diesel to show how it relates to its audience and how conscious it is of what life has been like. Well played. Note the brand’s tagline, “For Successful Living.” Great emotional benefit, something else we spoke about in class last night.
