Engagement Rings for Men at Tiffany's

Engagement rings for men? This seems like one of those “it’s about time” moments. Why didn’t this not catch on before?

Just recently Tiffany’s launched its new line and first line of engagement rings for men. I have to say that I chuckled a bit because YEARS ago I was interviewing at a very well known luxury jewelry house for a marketing spot and I brought up the notion of luxury jewelry for men beyond just watches. The gentleman interviewing me LOL’d and said that it would never happen. I disagreed. I didn’t get the job. That after he made a homophobic comment.

Look at you now, Tiffany’s. A long time coming. A leadership move. The company noted the rise in same-sex marriages and the blurring of traditional gender norms. Exactly. That and just nice jewelry!

When my husband and I got engaged, we bought rings for each other at Bulgari. But they weren’t specific to the engagement moment. Still special but it would have been nice to get a memorialized engagement ring at the time.

I suppose it’s never too late. For us or for Tiffany’s to make this introduction.
