Starbucks Charging Stations
This seems like a perfect match to me … Starbucks is partnering with Volvo and ChargePoint to install EV charging stations at Starbucks locations along the journey from Denver, CO to Seattle, WA … a stretch of roadway that has not developed extensive places to charge an electronic vehicle. Smart.
The reason why the pairing is so perfect is that it does take a bit of time to recharge an EV and you may have to do it more than once on a long trip, so why not relax and enjoy a cup of coffee paired with a pastry while you wait? This puts all three brands in leadership positions in an emerging area:
Starbucks as a destination to charge up your EV
Volvo as an innovator in the crowded space
ChargePoint as the go-to provider
Perfect example of filling an unmet need, expanding your offering, and partnering with complementary brands to make it come to life. Where everyone wins, including the consumer looking to make a journey eco-friendly and convenient.
