Old School TV Commercials

As I wrote in my first marketing book, I was one of those kids who just always knew I wanted to go into marketing. Not sure why or how and I’m not sure I even fully understood what it all meant, but I wanted to go into marketing! I orchestrated my whole pathway so that I could go into marketing. And here I am!

As a kid, I was fascinated by advertising and promotion. I read the backs of cereal boxes. Read the print ads in magazines instead of the articles. And never left the television when the commercials came on.

My husband stumbled upon this compilation of tv spots from 1973. I swear many of these are what motivated me towards a career in marketing. So here I am sharing those with you! Hoping in a very retro way to inspire you to great creativity this week!

Fun, right?!? My how the world has changed. Interesting to look at it through that lens as well.1973. Almost 50 years ago. It shows!
