Lady Gaga "Hold My Hand" at the Oscars 2023

As I mentioned this week, Valentino was the fashion winner this year at The Oscars. But there was one other winner that I just have to mention … Lady Gaga. First of all, she owned the red carpet by wearing a dress by Donatella Versace with a full-on beauty look. Gaga was working it, all glammed up! But then, in a sudden twist, she came out to sign her Oscar-nominated song later in the show without any of her bespoke fanfare. No fancy dress. No makeup. Just a simple hair do. And an amazing performance that stopped the show in its tracks.

Wow! Almost reminds me of that other time she was a show stopper at The Oscars, in 2015 when she sang a tribute to the movie The Sound of Music. Another wow!

Now while she didn’t actually win Song of the Year this time around, Lady Gaga was a clear winner throughout the program. Brava!
