Ketchum Celebrates 100 Years

I proudly work at Ketchum as the US CEO. I’m about to hit my one-year mark and am humbled by the number of my colleagues who have amassed great tenure here … 10 years, 15, 20, 25 years at Ketchum. It’s inspiring.

Yesterday we celebrated our 100th Anniversary. 100 Years! That’s a feat that very few organizations achieve and I don’t know of any other communications firms. We’ve evolved greatly through the years, and scarcely look the same, as it should be. And as we continue forward, we shouldn’t look the same five years from now either.

In my dual role as Global CMO, I also lead the team in developing all of the marketing and communications for the agency. We put together a comprehensive mini-site to showcase our heritage, colleagues, leadership, and pathways forward for the next 100. You can click here to give it a look.

We also announced “100 Acts” which is our way of giving back. Our colleagues all around the world will be actively giving back to their communities in ways that are personal and meaningful to them. We will be tracking the actions and celebrating them for the rest of the year.

As part of the celebration, we recorded the thoughts of our four former living CEOs, and also heard from the three current CEOs for Global, Global Markets, and the US (me!). Here’s the video from us!

“We love where we’ve been, and we love where we are going.”

Happy Anniversary, Ketchum. Big thanks to all you do for each other every day. And a big thanks to our client partners who give us the opportunity to shine every day too. Without you there would be no 100 years.

Cheers! What’s your experience? JIM
