My Session at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity
The Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity is by far the greatest awards show of our industry where we celebrate creativity, marketing effectiveness, and communications impact on the industry, the marketplace, and the world.
I’ve been going to the Festival for years, and have noticed how it’s evolved to include the multiple disciplines of marketing and creativity across all agency types. And I’ve gone having represented multiple agencies and agency disciplines. It’s been fun watching and participating in it all.
This year for me, however, is a first.
Sure, I’ve spoken on panel discussions through the years on adjacent venues about diversity, branding, marketing, communications, employee relations, etc. But this year I am hosting my own session as part of the main Cannes Lions Festival. My session is about a new consultancy offering we’ve recently added here at Ketchum called Trauma-Informed Communications but we are tailoring it for the Cannes Lions to be all about instilling trauma-informed creativity into storytelling and into team leadership. It’ll be a dynamic session with two colleagues from Howard University who have been living trauma-informed practices with students and faculties for quite some time. They are the experts and I’m merely going to facilitate a workshop.

Really looking forward to it! If you want to check out the full Cannes Lions, click here.
