Fruit Stripe Gum is Discontinued

End of an era? Another one bites the dust? It seems that after 100 years Fruit Stripe Gum has been discontinued. Gum sales are reportedly down over 30% in last several years so perhaps that’s a contributor. Not a surprise given how many options there are now compared to when Fruit Stripe Gum was launched. There is a lot of nostalgia for “old school” candies, but perhaps not enough to keep this one-time fan favorite alive.

One thing I didn’t realize … the wrapper on Fruit Stripe Gum is actually edible! And is also a temporary tattoo! Who knew?!? Maybe you did.
