Trudon - A Legacy Brand Since 1643
When we talk about legacy brands, we often talk about brands that have been around for decades or maybe even generations: brands like Coca-Cola, Disney, Levi’s. Brands that have endured the test of time, have maintained and evolved their relevance, and have continued to engage a consumer audience. Decades, generations … we are talking 50, 75, 100 years in most cases here.
I stumbled upon this legacy brand Trudon, a candle maker in Paris this week. Established in 1643. Here we are talking about a brand in existence for centuries. Well more than just candles, but famous for its candles and perfumes and soaps including being suppliers for the French Royals in the 1700s. Fast forward through the brand’s rich history and in 2018, it started a bee conservatory, much needed in the modern world. A legacy brand maintaining and evolving its relevancy.
This brand has stayed true to its craft, true to its history, yet evolved all along the way. Impressive and inspiring.
Here’s a video the brand made for its Noel line …
So rich, so unique, so French! There are dozens and dozens and dozens of candle brands in the world. And yet here is one that has maintained its legacy for hundreds of years. Now that’s exceptional.
