Is Nutter Butter Getting “Nutty”?

The Nutter Butter brand has always had a bit of a mystery surrounding it. The cookie was launched in 1969 by Nabisco but it’s actual shape and design origins are somewhat unknown and have always been under “speculation." Over the years, its enjoyed a loyal base of consumers that has led to a bit of a cult following.

And I think it’s fair to say that the brand has done some pretty “nutty” things through the years to earn that cult following and to earn a bit of a “crazy” reputation amongst its loyalists.

But then something has happened just recently that has turned up the volume in social media to a frenzied pace, unleashing that cult following and that reputation to levels not yet seen before.

Particularly on TikTok.

Now let’s face it, there are no coincidences in marketing so I’m sure the brand is expertly behind the phenomenon as it ignites the social forces to create the volume of behavior noted as “nutty” and outrageous … all of which is on brand and consistent with the followers of the brand. But of course.
