"I Feel Love" for Pride 2024 #MusicMonday

This past weekend was the first weekend of Pride 2024, and I can’t tell you how many times I heard the Donna Summer classic “I Feel Love” from 1977. It was part of her “I Remember Yesterday” album that explored musical styles from across the decades at that time. “I Feel Love” was meant to represent the future. And indeed it did because it is credited for inspiring electronic dance music for decades later. And here we are still listening to it today. There was even a new music video released for it last year!

So why so much play for it for Pride this year?!? Because I feel love, that’s why. Pride is about love, not hate. It’s about choosing love over hate. I don’t feel hate, I feel love.

If weekend one is any indication, with all the feels of love, then I’m going to love Pride this year. I can just feel it.
