If you’re not familiar with it, Bumble.com is a dating site/app that puts women in the driver’s seat. Women are in control of who they connect with and how the connection flows. Very smart.

As a way to increase its community impact, the brand started a fund a few years ago to help early-stage companies get started … with a focus on those organizations led by women of color and from underrepresented groups who often struggle getting funding. Very smart.

Now the brand is teaming up with Black Girl Ventures to broaden its reach and impact. Very smart.

I love this as a way to take the Bumble brand beyond just taking control of your dating life but also taking control of how to make a living as well. Giving a boost up to those who need it most. Giving more meaning to the brand and how it helps its audiences.

Very smart. What’s your experience? JIM

PS - In other recent partnerships, Bumble also partnered with Babe Wine in the UK to offer moving costs for those women who have initiated breakups with their partners in the pandemic. That’s an entire other side of taking control of your life!
