Detroit Lines
My posts this week have been on the light (or lite) side, reflecting where I need my mood to land right now as we absorb and try to navigate the world we live in at the moment. So here’s another fun post.
A somewhat famous TikTok artist Emily Zugay recently proactively changed the logo of the sports team Detroit Lions to Detroit Lines.
Detroit Lines. Ha! She says its simpler and easier to follow, so to speak.
Rather than get angry over the “violation,” the team rather embraced the new look by donning t-shirts and taking to social media. Smart!

It’s a huge compliment to the brand when you have consumers and pop culture engage at this level. And it’s a huge compliment to the brand that they embraced the attention and had fun with it. It’s important to have a sense of humor and just to run with it. Maybe not in every instance, but when it can be fun then have fun with it.
