Barilla Playlist Timer on Spotify #MusicMonday
I just love when brands use pop culture to their consumer advantage, and here’s a great example where Barilla partners with Spotify to solve a pain point.
It’s always a bit of a mystery to figure out how long to boil/cook pasta. It varies by type, I suppose, so it’s always a guessing game and trial by error to get it done correctly. Just the right softness yet just the right hardness all at the same time.
Well pasta maker Barilla from Italy has a solve … playlists on Spotify. There are several of them, based on the pasta type and each playlist is timed for how long you should cook the pasta. Start the playlist when you put the pasta in the water and then drain it once the playlist has finished. Done.
Is that video beautifully shot, or what? Makes me want to cook AND eat. Done.
Great brand leadership move here, solving a known pain point for consumers and making your product better in the longrun. Because if the Barilla pasta is cooked correctly, it’ll taste better, which will make consumers more loyal. Done.
And since music has such universal appeal, then the brand just might bring in some new users through its playlist. Done.
