Change the Board Game with e.l.f. Beauty
“At e.l.f. we stand for every eye, lip, and face.”
e.l.f. Beauty just made a stunning realization … there are more men on corporate boards named Richard, Rich, Rick, etc (aka “Dick”) than there are people from under-represented groups. Or as the brand says, “that’s a lot of Dicks and not enough of everyone else” on corporate boards.
So the brand is working hard to make sure that there is equal representation and diversity on corporate boards with an initiative called “Change the Board Game.”
If we work together, we can “change the board game.”
e.l.f. Beauty is partnering with the National Association of Corporate Directors to sponsor 20 diverse candidates and get them on corporate boards. Now!
I love it. Getting diversity on those corporate boards means better decisions that represent the diverse populations that make up the consuming public. A great example of a brand putting its power into real action. It’s a beautiful thing.
