The U.S. Open's Official Drink: The "Honey Deuce"
Did you know there is an official drink of the U.S. Open tennis tournament that is happening right now in New York City? It mixes Grey Goose vodka with raspberry liqueur and lemonade and is garnished with three honeydew melon balls to look like tennis balls. Served in a collectable cup, but of course. And then of course the name “Deuce” comes from the score in the game of tennis.
Evidently it’s quite a hit at $22 bucks a pop at the stands. Last year more than 450,000 servings were sold at the tournament and this year it’s looking to top that big time.
Perhaps the best part … even if you’re not at the tournament, you can make this fun drink at home while watching the games from your own perch!
What’s your experience? JIM
